76TH MIN - Panthers back with the ball.  Pritchard runs and throws to Tighe about 45 metres from the line.  Civoniceva now over the 40.  Wade Graham passes to Pritchard, ball lost.  Eels feed.

Puletua caught on the 40 metres line.  Smith takes it to the 30.  Graham from Walsh is 20 out. Puletua now tackled 15 out.  Walsh inside to Coote kicks through and Inu saves it just on the line.

FULL TIME:  EELS TRY -  Graham to Walsh out wide to Jenningswho throws back to Graham to Pritchard throws the ball back to Mateo and to Horo who scores in the corner.  Eels score.  Game over.  Burt misses the kick.
EELS 34 (J Wright 2, K Inu, J Hayne, F Moi Moi, J Horo tries; L Burt 5 goals) defeat PANTHERS 28 (B Tighe, L Coote, M Gordon, M Jennings, W Graham tries; M Gordon 4 goals)

What a shame that last try was conceded.  What a great game in front of a record crowd.  We blew a big lead, the Eels through Hayne won the game for them.  As for the officials, it really worked to the Eels favour.  Jarryd Hayne takes a dive after Graham tackles him, penalty awarded.  Coote loses the ball on a high tackle.  No call, penalty against Penrith.  7-3 penalty count to the Eels.  It's not panic stations yet but I think these types of losses can be used as positive energy for future games.  Officials booed from the field and rightfully so.  Matt Elliott will be disappointed with giving up the lead, but I hope he's scathing on the officials.

I agree with Matt. The refereeing performance was disgusting but I'm not surprised. This is not the first time this has happened against the Eels and this has happened for many years in our close derby games that we've lost. Steve Clark screwed us a few times, then Hayne and Maxwell more recently. Let's be honest, the NRL want the Eels in the top 8 or even the top 4. They constantly get favourable decisions, last week was the same. I can almost guarantee this week will be the same.

I watched this game at a pub about 2 k's from my house. I think my walk home that night was a speed record for me. I was not impressed.
